Under Wyoming Money Transmitters Act, a money transmitter is required to have a surety bond of at least $10,000 or 2.5 times the business’s outstanding payment instruments, whichever is greater, not to exceed $500,000.

The obligee is the State of Wyoming. The bond is continuous and must remain in place up to 5 years after the business ceases to perform money transmission services. The surety company may cancel the bond by providing a 30-day written notice to the Commissioner of the Wyoming Division of Banking.

To comply with state law, you must maintain your bond. To avoid the cancellation of your bond, you must pay the bond premium annually. To assist you with this, we will be in touch prior to the due date each year with updated payment instructions.
