Per Georgia Code Section 43-40-22.1 and the Georgia Administrative Code, Rule 520-1, real estate brokers providing community association management services need a fidelity bond. The required bond amount is $60,000.

The real estate broker bond’s obligee is the State of Georgia. The bond is continuous, remaining in full force until it is canceled. To continue providing community association management services, the broker must have an active bond. 

To avoid cancellation, you must pay the bond premium annually. We will support you with bond maintenance by contacting you annually with premium payment instructions.

The Georgia Real Estate Commission & Appraisers Board is the authority on real estate broker licensing. To apply for a broker’s license, you must meet these requirements:
 

• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have been a licensed Georgia real estate salesperson for least three out of the last five years
• Complete 60 hours of approved classes
• Pass the Georgia Real Estate Broker Examination
• Pass a criminal background check
